Me, me, me, it's all about Mee-mee

this is me aged.. 6?Well. Now we are reaching my favourite subject; me. Nah, just kidding. Okay. Let's begin from.. the beginning. I was born in Finland sometime around 4.00 am 22th of November 1989. You do the maths. I was given the name Maria, which is.. allright. So. There I was. Living in Finland, a town called Kajaani (oh joy). Well, nothing that great happened in.. the first decade of my pathetic life, yes, I went to school, was in school and played with My Little Ponies and barbies and made my siblings' life hell. What a wonderful child I was.

Anyways, now I am on the 8th grade, and I have been a nerd for about 2 years. :) And I'm not ashamed to admit it! Okay, I do have a life. My life does not revolve around the computer, believe me or not.

'Hello, I'm stupid.'My hobbies include reading, drawing, hanging out with my friends in town or at the beach, talking to my friends on the internet (I have msn and aim) and on the phone (I include talking on the phone as a hobby, yes, I am pathetic), listening to music and stuff like that.

"Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counsellors, and the most patient of teachers." - Charles W. Eliot
As mentioned before, I love reading. Books are my escape from this world full of evilness. My favourite books are the LoTR-trilogy, The Hobbit and Roverandom by J.R.R. Tolkien, Dark is Rising-series by Susan Cooper, The Belgariad and The Malloreon by David Eddings, Harry Potters by J.K. Rowling, anything by Terry Pratchett and manymany more books that I absolutely love. There are too much great books to list here. I mostly like fantasy books, as you may notice.

"After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music." -Aldous Huxley
"Music is the wine that fills the cup of silence." -Robert Fripp

Music is to me what food is to some people. I need it to live. I most likely will be found listening to these bands/musicians; Travis, Audioslave, Coldplay, Snail on The Plate, Kapteeni Ä-ni, Liekki..

"Writing is a form of therapy; sometimes I wonder how all those who do not write, compose or paint can manage to escape the madness, the melancholia, the panic fear which is inherent in a human situation." -Graham Greene
"Imagination is more important than knowledge." -A.Einstein
I think drawing is, like books, an escape. For example, when I feel really really depressed, I draw my feelings on the paper and I feel better already. And I really feel I've accomplished something when I have finished a drawing and like the way it looks.
